The Cynosure Palomar PicoSure is an advanced picosecond laser system designed for high-performance aesthetic and dermatological treatments, including tattoo removal, pigment correction, and skin revitalization. As one of the first commercially available picosecond lasers, PicoSure set a new standard by delivering ultra-short laser pulses measured in picoseconds (trillionths of a second), enabling precise pigment disruption with minimal thermal damage to surrounding tissue.

Unlike traditional nanosecond Q-switched lasers, Cynosure Palomar PicoSure relies on a photomechanical effect rather than heat, shattering ink and melanin particles into extremely fine fragments that the body can naturally eliminate more efficiently. The system primarily operates at a 755 nm Alexandrite wavelength, which is highly effective for targeting melanin and a wide range of tattoo ink colors.
