WaterLase iPlus is an advanced dental laser that provides faster, virtually painless treatments by combining laser, air, and water technology. It replaces traditional dental drills for procedures like fillings, gum treatments, and root canals, often eliminating the need for anesthesia. Enjoy quicker recovery and a more comfortable dental experience with WaterLase iPlus.
WaterLase iPlus significantly accelerates dental procedures compared to traditional drills, offering a more convenient and comfortable experience for patients. Dental procedures like cavity fillings, root canals, or other invasive treatments are necessary for maintaining oral health. Fortunately, WaterLase iPlus allows for less discomfort during treatment by eliminating the pressure typically associated with dental drills.
WaterLase iPlus is an advanced dental laser system that enables minimally invasive procedures with enhanced precision. Equipped with the SureFire YSGG Delivery System, the gold standard in clinical precision, this technology also integrates REPAIR protocols for periodontal and peri-implantitis treatments through an intuitive touch-screen interface. This laser tool combines air and water with cutting-edge laser technology, replacing the need for traditional dental drills in many procedures.
WaterLase iPlus can perform over 80 functions, including work on soft tissue and bone, such as painless cavity fillings, crown lengthening, and dental restoration removal. These capabilities make it versatile in handling various dental treatments efficiently.
This laser technology employs YSGG laser energy combined with water to deliver precise, targeted dental treatments. It can treat hard and soft tissues without damaging the surrounding areas, resulting in minimal discomfort and faster recovery.
WaterLase iPlus provides a better patient experience by reducing physical discomfort and emotional stress. It also supports a broad range of treatments, including root canals and gum disease therapies. For example, gum disease treatment is significantly improved as the laser can remove plaque and tartar without needing to pull the gum tissue back, reducing swelling and irritation.
With this tool, many treatments that traditionally required multiple sessions can now be completed in a single visit. The intuitive interface allows the dentist to adjust settings to meet the specific needs of each patient, ensuring personalized and pain-free care.
WaterLase iPlus offers a superior alternative to traditional dental methods, providing a safer, faster, and more comfortable experience for patients of all ages
HydroPhotonics The Optimal Wavelength
1. Waterlase’s proprietary 2780 nm Er,Cr:YSGG wavelength provides optimal energy absorption into the water and Hydroxyapatite found in enamel, dentin, and bone.
2. Laser photons energize atomized water spray and micro-droplets native to interstitial spaces in tissue, creating rapid expansion/micro-explosions in the water.
3. This photomechanical ablation is termed HydroPhotonics. With no pain in most cases*, the result is rapid, precise, and clean removal of target tissues — without heat damage, fractures or smear layer created by dental burs.
4. Waterlase laser energy has been shown to have an anti-bacterial effect in root canals, reducing E. faecalis by 99.71%.
ER,CR:YSGG Optimal Absorption
Waterlase’s proprietary Er,Cr:YSGG 2780 nm wavelength has optimal absorption in both water and Hydroxyapatite for cool and efficient cutting in both hard and soft tissue. This is the therapeutic “Goldilocks” zone.
1. SOFT TISSUE: Er:YAG water absorption is too high. Er,Cr:YSGG penetrates water containing tissues 300% deeper than Er:YAG, which results in efficient cutting with better hemostasis, deeper coagulation and less bleeding.
2. HARD TISSUE: Hydroxyapatite absorption of CO2 wavelengths are too high, resulting in thermal ablation, melting, heating and carbonization depending on technique, tissue, and settings
